Powerful Tools for Caregivers – Being a caregiver can be stressful!  This workshop meets once per week for six weeks and will provide you with tools and strategies to better handle the unique caregiver challenges you face.  Click here for more information.


PEARLS (Program to Encourage Active and Rewarding Lives for Seniors) is an evidence-based treatment program for seniors with depression. PEARLS is for older adults (and all-age adults with epilepsy) with minor depression. This brief intervention program is delivered in the home with 8 visits and 4 follow-up calls over a period of 6 to 8 months. More information here.


Buried in Treasures (BIT)

Would you like to learn the skills to de-clutter and stop acquiring so much stuff from people who know what you are going through?  Buried in Treasures (BIT) can help!   Join us for a 16-week course to help improve your life and create more living space for you and your family.  This group is once per week for two hours and offers a judgement-free environment for people ready to make a change in their life.  Click here for more information.

 


Teepa Snow Positive Approach to Care (PAC)

Senior and Disability Services offers two Teepa Snow Positive Approach to Care (PAC) trainings:

  • Dementia Training – Teepa Snow: Positive Approach to Care.   This training assists care partners (agencies, care providers, professionals) to better respond to the needs of individuals living with dementia.  For more information, contact Sean Connolly at 541-423-1364 OR Click here to see flyer.
  • One-on-one Dementia Consultation. A Certified PAC Consultant works with a family caregiver to learn skills to better meet the needs of their loved ones living with dementia.  The Consultant offers a specialized approach to dementia care and helps family caregivers learn problem solving techniques and increase their dementia awareness and knowledge.  In the process, the Consultant is able to identify needed skills and train family caregivers in those skills.  For more information, call the ADRC at 541-618-7572 OR Click here for ADRC and ask about a Teepa Snow Dementia Consultation OR Click here to see flyer.
