NOTICE OF BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING

A public meeting of the Budget Committee of Rogue Valley Council of Governments (RVCOG), State of Oregon, to review and discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027, will be held at the RVCOG office on April 22, 2026, at 1:45 pm. This meeting will also be accessible virtually. At this meeting the Budget Committee will be asked to recommend the proposed budget to the RVCOG Board of Directors.

This is a public meeting. Any person may appear at the meeting, in person or virtually, and discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee. Public comments may also be submitted prior to the meeting by emailing admin@rvcog.org. A copy of the proposed budget may be inspected or obtained on or after April 15, 2026, at RVCOG between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm or by clicking this link Proposed Operating Budget Fiscal Year 2026-2027.

WE’VE LOST OUR COMMERCIAL KITCHEN LEASE

From the program’s inception in 2001, RVCOG Food & Friends has leased the commercial kitchen in the Olsrud Family Nutrition Center from ACCESS. Unfortunately, we received a letter on Monday, March 3rd indicating that our lease agreement is terminating effective August 31, 2025. That gives us less than six months to find a new commercial kitchen for the production of approximately 1,400 meals we serve and deliver to older adults in Jackson and Josephine Counties each day.

Update: December 2025 – Our ACCESS lease has been extended through at least June 30, 2026. RVCOG is working with the City of Central Point on a new location for the Food & Friends kitchen. More to come as plans progress.
