Rogue Valley Council of Governments
Background
The Stormwater patrol began in 2020 in partnership with the Medford Water Commission, Rogue Valley Sewer Services, and the Rogue Valley Council of Governments. The goal of the program is to observe and investigate threats (if identified) to the Medford Water Commissions Source area for regional drinking water.
Patrols
Patrols occur monthly March through November. In addition, extra patrols occur during wet periods. During each patrols approximately 15 set locations were visited and documented using survey forms and additional sites as needed. If a potential concern was noted, samples were collected, and reported to project personnel for next steps. If an emergency was encountered (eg. spill), it was reported to OERS.
