Why does RVCOG matter?
We live in an era when citizens expect their local government to deliver quality services at a minimum cost. RVCOG helps make that possible. It provides value in several ways:
- It seeks, obtains and manages substantial state and federal grants and contracts to make possible a variety of critically needed programs and projects in each community.
- It serves as a clearinghouse for citizen review of publicly funded community projects in Jackson and Josephine Counties.
- It's a forum for member governments to study, discuss and resolve issues of mutual concern, such as transportation, urban expansion, and air and water quality.
- It represents Rogue Valley communities in dealings with state and federal regulatory agencies.
